Royal Decrees

Three royal decrees were issued in October, the first two promulgating the Public Debt Law and the Tourism Law, and the third appointing new ambassadors.

Ministerial Decisions

Thirteen ministerial decisions were published in the Official Gazette during this month, with the most significant ones being CBO’s Regulation of the Returned Direct Debit and Cheques System, CMA’s Regulation Governing Electronic Linkage of the Health Insurance System and Regulation of Marketing Insurance Products through Banks, OCCI’s Executive Regulation of the System of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the CAA’s Regulation Governing the Activity of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (Drones).

Decree Intel

Decree Intel was updated with an overview of the Tax Authority, and overview of laws in the IT sector, and a summary of MJLA Fatwa 212747517 (First-Sale VAT Exemption)
