The Ministry of Interior published in this week’s issue of the Official Gazette the Executive Regulation of the Members of Majlis Al-Shura Elections Law. This new regulation provides implementation details for the recently issued Members of Majlis Al-Shura Elections Law.
The regulation provides the detailed requirements for forming the committees and sub-committees responsible for overseeing the electoral process for Majlis Al-Shura and defines their roles and responsibilities, namely: the Main Election Committee, the Electoral Committee, the Election Committee, the Voting Committee, the Technical Audit Committee, and the Count Committee.
The regulation also introduces new provisions regarding the specific details to be recorded in the Electoral Register.
As previously declared by the Ministry of Interior, the voting day for the 10th term of Majlis Al-Shura will take place on 22 October 2023.
